Conservation initiative in a time of crisis

As human beings we sometime forget that we are all interconnected with all living organisms on Earth and it is our duty to help conserve it. Without the conservation of our natural world, essentially, we will not have anything to enjoy, connect with or photograph.  With official lockdowns across the globe and travel bans to many countries, the drastic loss of income in the tourism sector has been seen and felt by many in the industry, which inadvertently creates new challenges for conservation and the fight against poaching.

As safari specialist’s, our livelihood is more than bringing our guests to wonderful places in Africa, but to also teach them the great impact they can have in the protection and conservation of these destinations and the unique wildlife they encounter.

The C4 conversation initiative sold limited edition prints, by Isak Pretorius, Andre Cloete & Shem Compion in order to raise funds for conservation. We would like to thank each and every person who purchased a limited edition print. We are pleased to advise, that through your generous contribution, we have managed to raise $2050.00 for Conservation South Luangwa - CSL and the fight against poaching. Your support is much appreciated.

Inspired by our good friend and fellow photo guide, Greg Du Toit, we chose the winner for the 3 night stay at Mashatu for 2 people with the help from one of the C4 ladies’ dog, Luna. The first name selected by Luna was Penelope Shone! A huge congratulations to Penelope on winning a 3-night stay at Mashatu Tented Camp for 2 people. You and a companion will enjoy private game drives on the PhotoMashatu vehicle and experience the uniqueness of the underground hide at Mashatu, known for the large elephant herds taking mud baths only 3 meters away from you!

A sincere thank you to everyone who entered the competition. You have helped support Conservation in South Luangwa and the fight against poaching.
